Lalla is currently preparing an exhibition on the superpowers of trees at Virserum’s Art Gallery, set to premier in 2026. The team is currently collecting studies and experts on the inner workings of trees, their importance within ecosystems and re-forestation’s part in retaining a viable planet. The exhibition will be centered around these three subjects but also cover the cultural and social role of trees. As well as experts, school children will be involved in the development of the exhibition. This will be done by allowing the children to engage with the scientific findings, internalize it and give it an artistic form. Collaborating with different groups in this manner is Lalla’s trademark and aims to make the exhibition engaging to all visitors. By making the tree the main character of the event and giving complex scientific findings an artistic expression, this exhibition targets the gaps in our collective knowledge. Through presenting interactive elements along with concrete restorative projects, the ambition is to inspire hope and spark action. All to ensure a future in symbiosis with nature.
Collaborators are Linköpings University, Stockholms University, Norrköpings Visualiserings Center och Crowther Lab Zurich Technische Universität. Lalla works closely with her young team Gustav Nilsson Computer engineer specialising in AI and Isabelle Thord BSc. Astrophysics.
Funding has been received by the Längmanska Culturefund.
